Not only is Smart Space ready to move forward with a concerted marketing push, I am also moving location from Beautiful Brisbane to Happier Hevery Bay. Brenda and I are very happy about the move although my Squash students are not so pleased.
The one saving grace is that they all promised to attend my coaching clinics in the Bay once I get organised.
I have had a couple of enquiries already about working on the local coaching scene although mainly in nearby Maryborough, a twenty minute drive away. Hopefully these enquiries will come to fruition and I can be active on the coaching front again.
There is often a dearth of good coaching in provincial areas and this is certainly the case in the Wide Bay area of Queensland. The locals are simply not exposed to the opportunities we in the city take for granted, so the chances for improvement are very limited.
I am fortunate that there are a number of quite good players who have moved to the Bay in recent times which from a playing perspective is good news. It means that I will also be able to work on my own game as well as helping others.
I have found the locals thirsty for some guidance in the limited time I have had up there already, so I am looking forward to the challenge of establishing myself in the Hervey Bay area.
